Are there any special rules that need to be followed when living on a boat?
To make sure living on the boat will be as easy and pleasant as possible it’s important that everyone on board follows the rules for safety and respect of others. Some of the rules might be obvious but it’s important to follow these to avoid any unnecessary conflict on board. The captain has the final responsibilty:
∙ We want all our guests to enjoy themselves and feel comfortable
∙The captain and the crew directions must be followed
∙ Drink alcohol with respect to others
∙ Smoking is only allowed in certain areas
What to pack with you?
Here is what you should bring with you on a liveaboard trip:
∙ Swimwear
∙ Lycra / rashguard
∙ UV sunblock (water resistance)
∙ Sunglasses
∙ Hoodie (light for the summer evenings, heavy for winter)
∙ Offline playlist that you can connect with Bluetooth to our portable speaker onboard
∙ Personal medicine. If guests are using any kind of medicine, it is their responsibility to bring this with them during the trip. We only have a small selection of medicine on board in case of an emergency
∙ Duty free wine or spirits if you have any favourites
∙Cash (for Marine Fees, Crew Service, onboard purchased alcohol and other services)

For kitesurfing:
∙ At least two kite sizes and if possible even a third size as the winds can change

∙ Wetsuit (shorty in summer and 5/4mm steamer in winter)
The best time to visit
Diving in Egypt has the advantage of year-round dive excursions, but water temperatures differ across the year depending on the season. The whale shark season usually starts in late May and lasts until the end of June. Summer is also the best time to spot more sea creatures, as the plankton attracts manta rays and the sea turtles usually nest during warmer conditions. Winter usually offers better water visibility. The best windy season for kitesurfing is from March till end of October.
Temperatures
Egypt is a perfect destination with warm temperatures and crystal blue sky all year round. The weather varies between 20°C to 30°C depending on the season. The most considered coldest months are January & February.
